Kathmandu, November 15:

Chhath is celebrated nationwide tomorrow as devotees will take ritual bath on riverbanks and worship the setting sun.

Puja will be performed in several ghats (embankments) built on riverbanks. In Kathmandu, ghats are built for the puja on the bank of Bagmati river at different places, including Thapathali and Rani Pokhari. Those ghats are decorated with flowers and lights are prepared.

Preparation to celebrate Chhath has started following the end of Tihar festival, with houses cleaned and families only consuming vegetarian and saltless food items.
