KATHMANDU: Chief of Army Staff Rajendra Chhetri returned home on Friday after completing an official visit to the United States of America.
Chief of General Staff of the Nepalese Army, Baldev Raj Mahat welcomed the Army Chief at the Tribhuvan International Airport. A contingent of the army also presented a guard of honour to CoAS Chhetri on the occasion.
In course of the visit to the US, Chief of the Army Staff Chhetri made an address on the topic 'Assessment of Theatre in the Asia Pacific Region' at a programme held in Honolulu, Hawaii in the US, according to the Nepalese Army Directorate of Public Relations.
He also held meetings with the high-ranking military officials of the various units of the US Army and also discussed with them topics of bilateral relations and cooperation.
The Directorate has expressed the belief that the visit by the Army's leadership level would further deepen the bilateral military relations between the two countries besides adding a new dimension to mutual ties.
