KATHMANDU: The Chinese ambassador to Nepal, Wu Chuntai, has called on Nepali Congress President and former Prime Minister Sushil Koirala at the latter's residence in Maharajgunj today.

In the meeting, they held discussions on bilateral relations and Chinese support in the developmental activities in Nepal.

On the occasion, ambassador Wu praised the important role Koirala played in course of drafting the new Constitution and its promulgation, said Dinesh Bhattarai, foreign affairs aide of President Koirala.

He pointed out the need to continue bilateral relations at the level of the government, party and people as well.

Similarly, President Koirala expected continued Chinese support in the future and assured that Nepal is committed to the One China policy.
