KATHMANDU, SEPTEMBER 26

Nepali students aspiring to study abroad will have a unique opportunity to explore academic options in France during the inaugural "Choose France Tour Nepal 2024."

The higher education fair, happening for the first time, will take place on Saturday, 28 September, at the Alliance Française in Lalitpur (Pulchowk, Dhobighat Road) from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

The event is open to students ranging from high school graduates to Ph.D. candidates, providing them with insights into pursuing higher education in France.

As part of the French government's "Choose France" initiative, the tour aims to present Nepali students with various opportunities to pursue advanced studies, including Ph.D. programs and scholarships at top French institutions. Attendees will have the chance to engage directly with representatives from 17 leading universities, Grandes Ecoles, and colleges. These institutions offer programs across diverse fields, such as management, engineering, humanities, arts, architecture, and design. The fair will also serve as a platform for Nepali and French educators to explore potential academic collaborations, as per the statement issued by the French Embassy.

Organized by the French Embassy in Nepal, in collaboration with Campus France, the fair will provide students with counseling sessions, scholarship information, visa application guidance, and insights into student life in France. Campus France, a French government entity that provides support and counselling to international students seeking to pursue higher studies in France, will offer personalized advice to attendees.

Additionally, Nepali alumni from French institutions will be present to share their experiences and provide valuable tips on studying and living in France. The Alliance Française will also contribute by offering information on the importance of learning the French language, both in Nepal and in France.

Participating institutions include top business and management schools like ESSEC Business School, Grenoble Ecole De Management, KEDGE Business School, ESDES Business school of University Catholic of Lyon, IESEG School of Management, EM Lyon Business School, Institut Mines – Télécom Business School, ICN Business School, Rennes School of Business, Audencia Business School. Engineering schools such as IMT Nord Europe, ESIGELEC - Graduate School of Engineering, ECE – Engineering School, along with public universities like Université Catholique de l'Ouest, Université Grenoble Alpes, Sciences Po, will also be represented. Students interested in arts and design will be able to learn about programs from renowned institutions like Ecole Conte.
