Chure Bhawar peace armies for Tarai
Kathmandu, December 20:
Chure Bhawar Pradesh Ekta Samaj, in a press release today, has urged the government to provide security to the people of Tarai or else it will be compelled to provide armed protection to the public through its own defence forces.
The Samaj has stressed that recurring incidents of abduction and murder by armed groups have posed threat to the people residing in the Tarai, but the government is confined as mere spectator.
“The government has neither provided security nor punished criminals, the situation of lawlessness has encouraged the criminal acts pressuring the commoners to take action on their own,” it said.
“If any mishap occurs while defending for ourselves, the government will be responsible for it,” adds the release.
