KATHMANDU: The Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) on Friday directed the Ministry of Education (MoE) to strictly follow the established rules while purchasing equipment in the future. The CIAA's directive follows irregularities on the purchase of 500 KVA generator by managing director of Janak Education Materials Centre (JEMC). The ant-graft body has revealed that the JEMC had purchased the machine without following the Public Procurement Act and without calling tender, the CIAA said in a statement issued here.
