KATHMANDU: The Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority on Tuesday filed a corruption case at the Special Court against the former AIG of Armed Police Force, Rishav Dev Bhattarai.

Bhattarai is currently affiliated with the Baburam Bhattarai-led politicaly party, Naya Shakti Nepal.

According to the CIAA, properties worth Rs 19.136 million that Bhattarai and his family members owned were not on a par with the legal source of income.

He is thus accused of illegally amassing the properties through corruption and abusing his authority while serving in the APF.
