KATHMANDU: The Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority conducted a surprise-check in the Land Revenue Office Bhaktapur on Sunday.

The CIAA inspection was based on the information of regular incidents of irregularities and bribes in the office.

A highly placed source at the Commission for the Iinvestigation of Abuse of Authority said they had conducted the inspection after thoroughly investigating into the situation at the land revenue office in Bhaktapur.

According to the source, the officials of the Land Revenue Office have been involved in taking bribes while carrying out the paperwork for the transaction of lands.
