CIEDP seeks details of security strategies
Kathmandu, January 29
The Commission of Inquiry on Enforced Disappeared Persons has sought the details of security strategies employed by the government and the Maoists, their security bases as well as organisational structures of their respective forces during the decade-long conflict, which ended in November 2006.
A CIEDP meeting held today took a decision to seek the details so as to take ahead its investigation into cases of disappearances during the conflict, according to a statement issued by CIEDP.
Likewise, it also sought details of strategies, organisational structures and bases of Nepal Police and Armed Police Force during the conflict from the Ministry of Home Affairs.
