CIJ reveals names of 55 Nepalis with illegal offshore investments

KATHMANDU: A team of Centre for Investigative Journalism collaborated with the International Consortium of Investigative Journalists to investigate Nepali investments in foreign countries has revealed that Nepalis have saved a whopping 52bn in Swiss Banks.

The report states that Nepali account holders have 'saved' NRs 520,727,74000 in Swiss banks.

As many as 55 Nepalis have been found to have made investments across various locations around the globe.

It is to be noted that Nepal's existing laws do not support offshore investments.

Likewise, those revealed to have engaged in offshore investments have been listed as follows :
