Civil society leaders urge Dahal to resolve crisis

KATHMANDU: Former Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai and civil society leaders have urged the UCPN-Maoist Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal to iron out problems of the country.

During a meeting with Dahal at his residence in Lajimpat in the Capital today, Bhattarai told that they apprised Dahal of the Tarai-Mahdes agitations, the unofficial blockade against Nepal and its bad impact on country's economy and life of people.

They also urged him to give a way out to the crisis by addressing genuine demands of the agitating parties.

Dahal is also the Chairman of the High Level Political Coordination Committee.

The delegation members said that they have launched a campaign to meet leaders of different political parties, protesters and international community if need be to press them to resolve problems the country is facing.

The team includes civil society leaders Debendra Raj Pandey, Pitambar Sharma and CK Lal.
