CJ Parajuli pledges prompt and accessible justice delivery
LALITPUR: Chief Justice Gopal Prasad Parajuli has reaffirmed his commitment to make justice delivery fast, affordable and accessible so as to make the judiciary accountable to people.
At a programme organised by Lalitpur Bar Association on Friday to congratulate the newly appointed Chief Justice, Parajuli also reiterated to work in line with his action plan to ensure justice to the people at lower strata of society.
Also speaking at the programme, Attorney General Raman Kumar Shrestha said that he had expected much from the Chief Justice to ensure reform in the judiciary system by eradicating the anomalies prevailing in this sector.
Lalitpur Bar Association President Prakash Maharjan spoke of the need for making efforts at policy level to allocate at least one percent of the total budget to reform the judiciary in the country.
