Oli, Dahal meet
KATHMANDU, DECEMBER 9
Co-chair of the ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP) Pushpa Kamal Dahal today met Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, who is also a co-chair of the ruling party.
Neither side provided details of the discussion between the two leaders.
The meeting was held in the backdrop of the two leaders’ war of allegations and counter allegations.
Dahal had recently presented a 19- page proposal in the party Secretariat meeting accusing the PM of failing to run the government, defying party rules and decisions and not consulting party leaders while making appointments in constitutional bodies.
Oli had responded with 38-page rebuttal accusing Dahal of promoting factionalism in the party and showing lust for power.
Oli has persisted in refusing to take part in the Standing Committee meetings saying there has been no valid proposal for discussion in the Standing Committee and a valid proposal could be prepared only with the consent of the two co-chairs.
