KATHMANDU: Comedian Rudra Prasad Bhattarai aka RP Bhattarai aka Lajalam passed away in Biratnagar. He was 45.

It has been learned that Bhattarai had gone to sleep at one of his relatives' house after dinner last night. He, however, was found dead on the bed this morning.

Bhattarai who suffered from obesity and  high blood pressure was diabetic also.

Bhattarai popular after appearing in comedy teleserial Teeto Satya as Lajalam. He has acted in several music videos, telefilms and feature films, including recently released Chhakka Panja.

He was on a visit to his home town Biratnagar recently.

He is survived by his wife and two sons.
