Committed to protect national integrity, sovereignty: Oli
KATHMANDU: CPN-UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli said he was committed to protecting national integrity and sovereignty.
Releasing a novella, Amako Man, penned by UML leader and litterateur Pradeep Nepal in the Capital on Thursday, Chairman Oli claimed that he stepped down from the government for the protection of sovereignty and nationality.
"I spent my 52 years of politics for the country. I will never do politics to divide and delude people," he claimed.
“The politics of trickery and that of service must be taken differently,” he said, adding “Communists should be honest, committed and restrained. “
On a different note, leader Oli urged one and all not to dream the restoration of monarchy in the name of honouring Prithvi Narayan Shah.
Meanwhile, critics Kumar Prasad Koirala and Gita Tripathi spoke on the novella on the occasion.
Writer Nepal also marked his 64th birthday at the programme taking a cake from Chairman Oli's hand.
