Concerns raised, reports tabled in Parliament meeting
KATHMANDU: Lawmakers have drawn attention of the government to various issues regarding upcoming local level elections, Constitution amendment and failure to hold the Cabinet meeting in the Legislature-Parliament meeting held on Monday.
Meanwhile, as on other days, the lawmakers belonging to constituents of the United Democratic Madhesi Front boycotted the meeting today.
Annual reports of various constitutional bodies were tabled for discussion during the meeting today.
Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs, Ajaya Shankar Nayak, on the behalf of Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal, submitted reports of the Supreme Court, the Office of Attorney General, the Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority, the Public Service Commission and the Election Commission of fiscal year 2015/16.
The Parliament's Legislation Committee's President Ganga Chaudhary Satgauwa presented the panel's report on various bills.
