KATHMANDU: A contempt of court plea has been filed at the Supreme Court against Vice President Paramananda Jha, who is yet to take the oath of office and secrecy in Nepali as directed by the apex court.

Sanu Babu Shrestha, a local of Thahiti and an assistant at the Nepal Law Centre, filed the petition seeking action against the Vice-President, who declined to obey the court’s order.

Jha had also publicly claimed that the verdict was biased. The petitioner stated that Jha was involved in defaming the court.
