Cops look for evidence
Kathmandu, May 15:
Police are gathering evidence against gangster Milan Gurung, alias Chakre Milan, to file a murder case and three other cases of attempted murder against him, Metropolitan Police Range, Kathmandu, said.
The police said that they are trying to gather evidence to prove his role in the murder of one Pranita Sunuwar in July 2003.
They are also gathering evidence to prove his attempt to murder Rajiv Shahi on April 14, 2004, Sanjay Shrestha on March 1, 2004, and Yadav Dangol on May 5, 2007. Police said they are searching for Gurung’s gang members. “We have identified 20 gang members and will arrest them any time,” a police official said.
Meanwhile, police in Pokhara arrested Laxman Thapa Magar, co-accomplice of Chakre Milan yesterday. He has been brought to Kathmandu and is kept in the Metropolitan Police Range custody, police said.
