KATHMANDU, MARCH 6
Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has asserted that there is no alternative to making the country self-reliant.
Inaugurating the Nepal Pulp and Paper Industries at Gaushala Municipality-1 in Mahottari district today, Prime Minister Oli emphasized the government's commitment to industrial development and job creation.
"We have no alternative but to become self-reliant. Youths can engage in various forms of commercial farming through collaborative efforts. Provincial governments should support this initiative," he stated.
He further underscored that national prosperity is unattainable without active participation from the private sector.
The Prime Minister expressed confidence that the newly established paper industry would contribute to making the country self-reliant while helping to balance the trade deficit.
He also noted that the coalition government, formed by the country's two largest parties-the CPN (UML) and Nepali Congress-is dedicated to national development. Reaffirming his commitment, he pledged to complete major projects, including the Postal Highway and the Sunkoshi Marin project, in a timely manner.
Additionally, PM Oli dismissed any possibility of restoring the monarchy in Nepal.
