Party tells PM to hold final consultations and fix poll dates
KATHMANDU: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal's CPN Maoist Centre party has told him to hold final consultations with stakeholders and fix the local level election dates within two days.
Concluding that the elections were option-less, the party's Headquarters meeting held today decided to recommend the government to announce the polls as soon as possible, party leader and PM's Chief Political Advisor Chakrapani Khanal informed.

Earlier, the party chief Dahal had briefed the meeting about contemporary political developments including the government's preparations for the polls and discussions held with various political parties for the same.
The meeting also discussed party's internal organisational issues.
Accordingly, the meeting decided to complete ongoing works about membership renewal and local level conventions as soon as possible, informed the PM's Secretariat.
The meeting also decided to carry out organisational activities focusing on elections.
