CPN-UML lawmakers obstruct House meeting

KATHMANDU: The main opposition CPN-UML on Thursday obstructed the Parliament proceedings against the Constitution amendment bill that the government registered at the Parliament Secretariat.

Taking special time at the beginning of today’s meeting, UML Vice-Chairman and lawmaker Bamdev Gautam criticised the government for registering the amendment bill without his party’s consent.

Leader Gautam warned that his party would not let the House proceed with its business unless the government rectified its decision.
