KATHMANDU, FEBRUARY 1
The U.S. Embassy Nepal has launched the Kathmandu edition of Creator's Mela 2026: Vision to Venture, a two-day event aimed at accelerating the growth of Nepal's creative and digital economy.
The Kathmandu program follows earlier editions held in Chitwan and Nepalgunj, forming part of a multi-city initiative designed to strengthen Nepal's digital creator ecosystem. The event brings together content creators, entrepreneurs, industry leaders, and corporate decision-makers for panel discussions, workshops, spotlight conversations, live performances, and networking sessions.
A major attraction of the Kathmandu edition is the Pitch to Success platform, where selected creators present their business ideas to a panel of leading Nepali corporate executives. The platform provides participants with direct feedback, mentorship, and strategic insights to help scale their creative ventures.
The theme for 2026, Vision to Venture, emphasizes the transition from content creation to enterprise development. By incorporating U.S. expertise in technology, monetization strategies, and digital business development, Creator's Mela aims to equip creators with practical tools to turn creative passion into sustainable careers and commercially viable businesses.
The event features a diverse lineup of speakers and performers from across the creative and business sectors, including Cabinet Shrestha, Anand Bagaria, Ashwin Neupane, Mansi Agrawal, Kabita Nepali, Ujan Shakya, and singer Neetesh Jung Kumar.
According to organizers, around 11,000 aspiring and emerging content creators participated in the Kathmandu edition on its opening day, reflecting the growing momentum and potential of Nepal's digital creative community.
