KATHMANDU:

A group of three unidentified persons on Sunday looted $3,200 and Saudi Riyal 1,200 from Nandakumar Singh, of Panchthar, while he was staying in the Sapana Guest House at Kalanki, police said. The unidentified persons entered Singh’s room saying they had to “ask something” from Singh and looted the money. At Chandol, property worth Rs 3.3 lakh was stolen from the house of Umesh Kumar Bista on Monday. The police said thieves broke in through the main gate of the house and took away cash, jewellery, movie camera and wrist watches from the house.
