Cry for ban on smoking in public places
Kathmandu, November 12:
Members of the Nepal Cancer Relief Society (NCRS) today urged Home Minister Bam Dev Gautam to see to it that the ban on smoking in public places is fully
enforced. It demanded
that the government penalise the all those, who violate the ban.
In a press release, the NCRS hailed the government for its bid to ban smoking in public places.
Bhaskar Raj Karnikar, president, NCRS, said 40 branches of the NCRS will help the government enforce the ban.
“The minister said the government would soon issue an order, restricting areas for smoking as directed by the World Health Organisation,” stated the release.
