Kathmandu, February 7:

The National Coalition for Children as Zones of Peace (CZOP) today appealed to the Madheshi Janaadhikar Forum and other protesting parties in Terai not to involve children in demonstrations. It appealed to make the movement peaceful and show flexibility on the issue to the government and try to find a solution to the problems through talks. The CZOP is a coalition of 35 government and non-government organisations working for children.

Addressing a programme held at Maitighar Mandal, Dr Rishi Raj Adhikary, president of CZOP,

requested the security forces to use minimum force.

“As the movement would have long-term effects on everyone, including children, the government and eight parities need to show flexibility on the demands of the Madheshis and the protesting parties.”
