KATHMANDU: UCPN-Maoist Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal on Thursday held a meeting with Tarai Madhes Democratic Party Chairman Mahantha Thakur and discussed possible options of resolving the current political crisis.

The two leaders discussed making amendments to the Constitution by forging a consensus among major political forces of the nation and resolving the ongoing Madhes agitation.

The discussion was serious and positive, according to the UCPN-Maoist party sources.

Dahal would also discuss the issue with Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli before meeting Thakur again, according to a statement from the party.
