Damages sought
Kathmandu, July 26:
Relatives of those who were killed in the Shree Airlines chopper crash in September 23 in Ghunsa of Taplejung on Thursday urged the government to pay compensation as promised.
Handing over a memorandum to Speaker Subas Nembang on Thursday, the relatives asked Nembang to issue directives to the government to compensate them.
The government had earlier announced that it will pay Rs 1 million each to the families of those killed in the crash.
It may be noted that 24 eminent personalities, including the then minister for Forest and Soil Conservation, Gopal Rai, had died in the crash.
