Chicken seller arrested
KATHMANDU: Police on Monday arrested Niran KC, 38, of Ugratara, Kavrepalanchowk for selling dead chicken meat. Niran owns KC Chicken Store in Dipjyoti of Tokha Municipality. Metropolitan Police Range, Gongabu, arrested Niran while a Bolero jeep (Na 3 Cha 169) from Sarlahi was unloading 79 dead chickens at KC’s meat shop.
Five held with tortoise
KATHMANDU: the Central Investigation Bureau of Nepal Police arrested five persons with protected tortoise from Sundhara. They have been identified as Sher Bahadur Ale Magar, 49, Manoj Gurung, 46, Hum Bahadur Gurung, 50, Bikram Thapa, of Byas and Mahendra Gurung, 40. The tortoise has been referred to Central Zoo, Jawalakhel. The arrestees have been sent to District Forest Office, Kathmandu.
Three nabbed
KATHMANDU: The Narcotics Control Bureau on Monday arrested three persons in possession of 500 gm brown heroin. Om Prakash Prasad Yadav, 25, Bablu Alam, 20, and Hafiz Alam, 41, were arrested from Shivamandir in Gongabu. All three are permanent residents of Bishrampur, Bara. Police seized 200 gm of the contraband each from Om Prakas and Bablu while 100 gm was confiscated from Hafiz.
