The Council of Ministers has decided to appoint Deepak Thapa as the Chief of Nepal Police.
At a cabinet meeting held this evening at the Prime Minister's official residence in Baluwatar, the government approved Thapa's promotion from Additional Inspector General to Inspector General, according to Minister for Communications and Information Technology, Prithvi Subba Gurung.
Additionally, the meeting resolved to appoint Dinesh Bhatta as the Executive Director of the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Authority (NDRRMA).
