Dental students stage sit-in

MADHYAPUR THIMI: Nepal Dental Science Association, a group of three-year Certificate in Dental Science students, today staged a sit-in in front of Council For Technical Education and Vocational Training to press for the implementation of the past agreements.

Michael Devkota, president, NDSA, told this daily, “Having some agreements been implemented, dental hospitals are yet to allocate quota of CDS dental hygienist as agreed, hence the need for our protest.”

Following their protest, the CTEVT called the students and told them that their demands would be discussed further in a few days. The administration has promised to hold a workshop to talk with experts as to how to address the unfulfilled demands. The CTEVT has signed an 11-point agreement with the NDSA.
