KATHMANDU, DECEMBER 3

Nepali Congress (NC) President Sher Bahadur Deuba has emphasized the need to ensure greater youth participation through the party's upcoming general convention.

President Deuba underlined the crucial role of young leaders in strengthening and unifying the party ahead of its 15th General Convention. He conveyed this message to youth leaders who visited him at his residence.

He urged the youth leaders to create a conducive environment that guarantees their meaningful representation in the party's central committee through the forthcoming general convention.

Deuba reaffirmed that the NC's 15th General Convention will be held as scheduled from January 10 to 12, 2026.

A delegation of youth leaders-including former Nepal Student Union (NSU) President and Constituent Assembly member Ranjeet Karn; former NSU vice presidents Pushpa Kumar Shahi and Nabin Rai; former NSU general secretary Deepak Bhattarai; Shiva Rimal; Badri Aryal; and Dilip Dhungana, among others-met with Deuba to discuss youth inclusion within the party.
