‘Develop Pashupati area as religious hub’

Kathmandu, April 3

Unified CPN-Maoist chairman and former prime minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal today called for meaningful efforts to develop the Pashupati Area as a religious and tourist hub.

Addressing the fourth general assembly of National Employees’ Organisation Nepal, Pashupati Area Development Trust, in the capital today, Dahal said the area should be developed as tourist and religious hub as people from all over the world visited the temple for its historical and religious significance.

In another context, Dahal stressed on the implementation of the new constitution. He added that all political parties, groups and communities should move ahead respecting each others’ dignity.

Addressing the assembly, former PM Dahal said one should not forget his/her responsibility in the name of the rights as this would lead to anarchy.

Similarly, member secretary of the trust Govinda Tandon briefed the assembly about the current activities being carried out by the trust. The assembly will elect a new working committee tomorrow.
