KATHMANDU, JULY 26
The Embassy of the Republic of Korea, in collaboration with Bhat-Bhateni Supermarket, has launched "Discover Korea 2026," a two-week promotional campaign showcasing South Korean consumer products and culture.
According to a press release, the campaign, which began on July 22, is being held across Bhat-Bhateni Supermarket outlets and features a wide range of Korean products, reflecting the growing popularity of Korean lifestyle and culture in Nepal.
The promotional fair at the Maharajgunj branch includes a dedicated Korea Section, Korean food and ramen tasting, a photo zone, a Hanbok try-on experience, and a lucky draw for customers spending more than Rs 1,000 at five participating Bhat-Bhateni branches.
South Korean Ambassador to Nepal Park Taeyoung attended the promotional event and food-tasting programme at the Maharajgunj outlet on Friday. The event also featured public food sampling, a live cooking demonstration and displays of leading Korean brands, including Nongshim.
Speaking at the event, Ambassador Park said the collaboration with Bhat-Bhateni Supermarket provides an opportunity to introduce authentic Korean products to consumers in Nepal while further strengthening cultural and commercial ties between the two countries.
The organisers said the campaign aims to promote Korean products and enhance public engagement with Korean cuisine and culture through interactive experiences.
