Dixit book released

LALITPUR: A book entitled Dekheko Muluk (a country witnessed), written on the basis of the political events since 1990 up to now by journalist Kanakmani Dixit, was released here today. Releasing the book, Nepal's first agro-engineer Hutaram Baidya said the book inspired one to adopt non-violence. Chairman of the Constitutional Committee Nilambar Acharya said question had been raised after the Maoists announced federal states in various districts unilaterally.

He said that civil supremacy would not be maintained if the Maoists failed to abide by the Comprehensive Peace Accord. He also accused the Maoists of trying to make constitution from street. CPN-UML leader Pradip Gyawali said the book instilled courage to accept truth and unraveled the weaknesses of the present political leadership. On the occasion, litterateur Kamalmani Dixit shed light on the issues raised in the book.
