Kathmandu, December 15
Noted journalist and Chairman of Sajha Cooperation Kanak Mani Dixit today filed a writ petition at the Supreme Court demanding order against the investigation launched by the Commission for Investigation of Abuse of Authority into his property.
Dixit moved the court saying the CIAA did not follow due process in seeking his property details. “I am ready to provide the details of my property to CIAA if it makes a request following due legal process,” he told THT.
He has also claimed in his writ that the anti-graft body’s move was guided by the CIAA chief’s personal enmity with him.
Dixit further said he was asked to submit his property details without being informed about the complaint filed against him.
On behalf of Dixit, advocate Prem Kumar Kafle has sought an order from the court to halt CIAA’s move against him.
