Dog bite cases up

KATHMANDU: As the Kathmandu Metropolitan City prepares to tackle street dog menace in the capital, Shukraraj Tropical and Infectious Disease Hospital revealed that the number of dog bite cases had reached above 150 per day.

Dr Kedar Prasad Sentury, director at the hospital, revealed that around 150 out of 200 patients that visit the hospital come there for treatment of dog bite.

Sentury blamed the increase in the number of dog bite cases to failure of the KMC to control street dogs.
