Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister Rabi Lamichhane has directed immigration officials to treat migrant workers with decency and refrain from any misconduct, emphasizing their significant contribution to the nation's economy through remittances.

Minister Lamichhane urged immigration officers to promptly rectify any actions causing unnecessary hassles or stress to migrant workers.

Speaking at an event organized by the Department of Immigration on Tuesday, he called upon government officials to exhibit positive conduct and compassion towards service recipients starting from today.

He also urged the Department to unveil plans for immigration reforms and assured strong support from the Ministry. Lamichhane stressed the importance of identifying dishonest individuals promptly to encourage honest ones, emphasizing that many upright individuals suffer due to the actions of a few dishonest ones.

Furthermore, he advocated for making the country's immigration system technologically advanced to meet international standards, acknowledging challenges in training human resources and providing adequate resources at workstations.

Home Secretary Ek Narayan Aryal directed officials to refrain from making intentional mistakes.
