BHAIRAHAWA: Police on Sunday arrested five persons, including dreaded don Chakre Milan, from Bhairahawa.

Chakre Milan, who is on a Nepal Police’s most wanted list, along with his aides Bishal Gurung, Boxing Gurung, Raju Maharjan and Chandradev Karki were arrested from Hotel Ashoka International at Siddhartha Bus Park in Bhairahawa early this morning.

According to District Police Office, Rupandehi, the police also seized a pistol with five rounds of bullets, three packets of hashish and IRs 12,000 from them.

“I was planning to fly to Hong Kong via New Delhi. The police arrested me on false charges,” Milan said, at a press meet organised at the District Police Office. Milan also said he neither used drug nor consumed alcohol.

Milan and his friends checked in the hotel last night. Police cordoned off the hotel before arresting them.

“We arrested Milan and his friends following a tip off,” Khinu Prasad Acharya, Deputy Superintendent of Police, at the District Police Office told the press meet.
