KATHMANDU: Police have arrested a man for selling petrol at a higher rate than the fixed price from Gathhaghar of Bhaktapur on Thursday.

Lilaram BK, a resident of Bhaktapur, was caught selling petroleum products at Rs 500 per litre in Koteshwor, KMC-35.

Acting on a tip-off, police immediately reached the site and arrested BK, a driver of a Kathmandu-Bardibas Tata Sumo. Police also confiscated 67 litres of petrol kept in the vehicle (Na 1 Ja 4373).

They also added that they are investigating into the case.
