KATHMANDU: The Central Investigation Bureau of Nepal Police has arrested an absconding drug convict from Nayabasti, Jorpati of Kathmandu district on Wednesday.

The then Patan Appellate Court on August 22, 2010 had sentenced Ram Sharan Lohani (48) of Naubise-4, Dhading, with an imprisonment of five years and a fine of Rs 10,000.

He was absconding since then.

Meanwhile, police presented the convict before the Lalitpur District Court for execution of the sentence on Wednesday.

The Court sent him to the Dillibazar Jail subsequently.
