Duo held with controlled drugs from Balkhu
KATHMANDU: The Narcotics Control Bureau of Nepal Police has arrested two persons in possession of controlled pharmaceutical drugs in the Valley on May 18.
A team deployed from the Bureau nabbed Sita Devi Sharma (45) of Koiladi Rural Municipality-1 in Saptari, currently living in Basundhara, Kathmandu; and Rabindra Upadhyay (25) of Bindhabasini Rural Municipality-3 in Parsa, at 4:30 pm at Balkhu, KMC-14.
Police recovered 1,128 ampules of Diazepam, Phenargone and Buprenorphine and 162 tablets of Nitrazepam from the duo.
A case has been filed against the duo as per the Narcotic Drugs Control Act 1976.
The investigation is underway, added police.
