Durga Prasai, a medical entrepreneur, who was arrested on the charges of cyber crime, has been produced before the District Court, Kathmandu for extension of judicial custody.
The Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) of Nepal Police presented alleged Prasai in the court, confirmed SP Hobindra Bogati, also Spokesperson at the CIB.
SP Bogati shared, "Prasai was brought to the Court after he was detained for further investigation into his alleged involvement in cyber-crime related offence.
He added that investigation into the case will be taken forward once the court orders extension for his judicial remand.
Prasai was arrested by a team of CIB on Tuesday for purportedly circulating malicious and defamatory contents against Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli in social media.
