KATHMANDU, JUNE 11
A measurably significant earthquake was felt by Kathmandu valley denizens at around 2:36 am, today.
According to the National Earthquake Monitoring and Research Centre, the jolt that knocked the valley residents out of their sleep, was measured Ml 4.7.
The earthquake originated around Changunarayan of Bhaktapur, the centre said.

Earlier estimates had suggested that the quake occured 10 kilometers south of Kathmandu.
