Education consultancy operator held for migration fraud
KATHMANDU: Police on Sunday arrested an education consultancy operator for his alleged involvement in defrauding four youth with an assurance of providing them Cyprus visas and admission at an academic institution there.
Yubaraj Gajurel (31), a permanent resident of Birat Chok, Belbari in Morang district, is accused of collecting Rs 4.22 million from Prakash Oli, Govinda Oli, Ujwal Adhikari and Santosh Acharya, residents of Tulasipur Municipality-18 of Dang district.
Gajurel is the operator of the Western Bridge Education Consultancy in Gonbagu of Kathmandu.
A team deployed from the Metropolitan Crime Division had arrested him from Teku of Kathmandu today.
Meanwhile, the suspect has been sent to the Metropolitan Crime Range, Kathmandu, for further investigation and action.
