KATHMANDU, JULY 6
Police have arrested a government education officer after a woman accused him of exposing himself in a public place in Lalitpur, following the circulation of a video on social media.
The suspect has been identified as Surendra Bhatt, 55, a permanent resident of Patan Municipality-7 in Baitadi who is currently residing in Mahalaxmi Municipality-2, Imadol, Lalitpur.
According to Nepal Police, the incident occurred at a public location in Imadol. Police launched an investigation after the victim uploaded a video of the alleged incident on social media.
A team from the Satdobato Police Circle subsequently arrested Bhatt.
Preliminary investigation has established that Bhatt is serving as an Education Officer at the Ministry of Defence in Singha Durbar.
Police have kept the accused in custody at the Satdobato Police Circle, where further investigation is underway.
