As a result, the parliamentary hearing for the appointment of Chief Justice, 11 Supreme Court Justices and 23 ambassadors has been affected despite their nominations.

The ruling parties have been pleading for a 15-member panel, while the main opposition Nepali Congress has voiced for retaining the 73-member PHSC as in the past.

Emerging from the meeting, CPN Maoist Centre Pushpa Kamal Dahal said efforts to forge an agreement over the Parliamentary Regulations will resume after the budget is presented at the House tomorrow.
