Police say the demonstration was held without official permission
KATHMANDU, DECEMBER 22
Police have taken eight youths under control following a demonstration organised by the Gen Z Group at Maitighar Mandal on Sunday.
According to police, the protest-led by Miraj Dhungana-was conducted without prior permission from the District Administration Office, which is mandatory for assemblies, sit-ins, and rallies at Maitighar Mandal.
Those detained include Rabi Kiran Hamal, police said.
Superintendent of Police Pawan Kumar Bhattarai, spokesperson for the Kathmandu District Police Range, confirmed that the demonstrators were taken under control for violating the legal provisions governing public protests.
