Kathmandu, March 23

Minister for Irrigation Umesh Yadav today said the government needed to ensure quick delivery of service to achieve the goals of economic progress.

Addressing a gathering organised by Nepal Agriculture Journalists Academy to exchange Holi greetings here today, Minister Yadav said in Singh Durbar itself, letters sent by one ministry to another reached the destination only after a week.

“If this is the situation of the capital, one can imagine how bad the situation can be in the far flung areas,” he said, adding the government needed to ensure prompt delivery of services by simplifying the rules and regulations.
