Envoy hands over assistance

Kathmandu, March 17:
German ambassador to Nepal, Rudiger Lemp, handed over various technology and audio-visual equipment to the German language section (GLS) of the Biswa Bhasa Campus today. The programme was organised within the campus premises by the GLS.
"The donation is being given in recognition of the long-standing success of the Department of International Languages in promoting the study of German language in Nepal," said Lemp.
"Use of audio-visual method as one of the means of learning will be effective in the process of teaching and learning," said Dr Manfred Treu, head of the department of German languages at the campus.
Professor Dr Triratna Manadhar, dean of the Humanities faculty, stated that the assistance would simplify the process of teaching and learning German language and assured that the assistance would be utilised properly.
German language is being taught in the campus since 1981. Campus chief Bala Ram Aryal presented the ambassador with a silver statue of Lord Buddha.
