Exhibition of Narayan Gopal’s photos begins

A photo exhibition of photographs depicting the life of late singer Narayan Gopal began at Babarmahal-based Nepal Art Council today on the occasion of his 25th memorial day.
A collection of 300 photographs of Narayan Gopal has been put on display at the exhibition. The event is organised by the Cultural Museum Nepal and supported by Narayan Gopal Music Trust. It will run until February 23.
Photographs in the exhibition are related to musical concerts of the late singer held in various locations of the country and in India, Bangladesh, Burma, China, Thailand and Hong Kong.
Inaugurating the exhibition, Minister for Information and Communications Sher Dhan Rai said the expo was an attempt to keep the country’s music history associated with the late singer alive.
Narayan Gopal, who is also known by the name Swar Samrat, was born on October 4, 1939 and passed away on December 5, 1990.
The museum has already organised similar photo exhibitions of iron man Ganeshman Singh, people’s leader Madan Bhandari, and BP Koirala.
